The gold brocade fabric, Nishijin Kinran, which “paradise” has been expressed.  Golden Colored Silk Kyoto Glass has the transparency of beautiful glass while keeping the luxury of Nishijin Kinran, and colors the space vividly and gorgeously.

By sandwiching a silk fabric between the two plates of glass, it has become possible to express a sense of sheerness that we, Nishijin-ori, had never been able to achieve.

Golden Colored Silk Kyoto Glass where the silk fabric has been sandwiched between two glass plates emphasizes the traditional beauty of Nishijin-ori.
Along with its design, it has the functionality of laminated glass, which creates a more modern and beautiful space.

Golden Colored Silk Kyoto Glass has a five-layer structure in which silk fabric is sandwiched between two plates of glass and interlayer films are placed between each material. Since this 5-layer structure is crimped by applying heat and pressure, it is tough and has an excellent penetration resistance. It is a highly safe glass decoration which is resistant against shocks, and difficult for glass pieces to scatter or fall off even if it is damaged in the event of a disaster such as an earthquake or typhoon.

• Due to the characteristics of laminated glass, the edges may be slightly off.
  Air bubbles may be slightly generated at the four corners and edges of the glass.
• The dimensional tolerance (size error) is ± 1 mm. *The glass plates may slightly slide.
• It is possible to specify +0 mm (+ 0 mm to -2 mm) if you don’t want it to be larger than the specified size. Also, it is possible to specify +0 mm (-0 mm to + 2 mm) if you don’t want it to be smaller than the specified size.
• Regarding Test Performance
  Golden Colored Silk Kyoto Glass is a non-combustible material which is a product equivalent to JIS R 3205 standard certification performance regarding strength, safety, etc. of general laminated glass. (However, laminated glass interlayers are not equivalent to JIS standard certification due to their nature.) However, since it is manufactured to order, it is not subject to JIS standard certification, although it is an equivalent product.

• The characteristics of the fabric:
  Due to the delicate pattern expression and the characteristics of the natural silk material, there are the following restrictions.
  1. Regarding the Cloth Size
  Golden Colored Silk Kyoto Glass requires a pulling allowance at the edge of the fabric.
  The finished glass size should be 100mm smaller than the textile size.
  2. Regarding Patterns
  Due to the characteristics of the fabric, some “twisting” may occur during the heating process in the production step.
  It is not possible to completely unify the design of each panel.

Note:
Since natural materials such as pure silk are used, the pattern may be slightly distorted.
