The story of a family who weave ‘silk fabrics to represent temples as paradise’, and their struggle and trial and error to sublimate their cherished technique into a silk fabric suited to the modern age.

Graduated from Musashino Art University, Department of Oil Painting.
Born and raised in Okamoto Orimono Co. and weaves daily as a traditional hand-weaver.
Ema Okamoto (Managing director) Mon Designer
Wife of Keiji. Born in Sapporo. After graduating from Tokyo Zokei University, she married into the Okamoto family in 1998 and entered the world of Nishijin weaving. She is in charge of design, product development, SNS and public relations.
On the day of the exhibition, all silk Nishijin brocade with pearl-powder and silver-foil patterns will be on display, as well as other Hikifoil products, such as tapestries with a Dokurakutsugi-style pattern.
Dive-in presentations are also possible.
This is the first time we have spoken on the stage since we spoke at the memorable Vol. 1.
