Showyou, which supports and brands global talent and companies, will be exhibiting silk fabrics at the exhibition.
We visited Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, last year.
When Showyou told us about the exhibition, a certain image came to our mind and we drew the design for this exhibition.
When we visited Riyadh, everyone was kind enough to tell us about Riyadh design. We want to thank them.
On a summer evening visiting Masmak Castle in Riyadh, I saw many palm trees and triangles. I also heard stories from people who were born and raised in Riyadh about how the people of Riyadh love the triangle design. I drew a design inspired by these memories and the stone walls of Kyoto, which I then expressed in Nishijin Silk Brocade.

When I visited Riyadh, I heard from people who were born and raised in Riyadh that the people of Riyadh love the triangular design. I designed the triangle and Kyoto’s much-loved ‘Karahana’ as a haze and wove it as Nishijin Silk Brocade.

We plan to exhibit a range of traditional crafts from Kyoto, focusing primarily on interior and lifestyle-related products. This exhibition aims to deepen the understanding of Japan’s exquisite craftsmanship and beauty and to explore new business opportunities. —Showyou
