The 22nd “Iki of Miyako: 22nd Kyoto Craftsmanship Exhibition (exhibition, sales, and demonstrations) will be held at the Shimadai Gallery.
Traditional crafts unique to Kyoto will be exhibited and sold so that visitors can feel the charm of Kyoto’s crafts and the skills of Kyoto’s craftsmen, which have been cultivated over a long period of time, close at hand.

Now the Shimadai Gallery, a typical Kyoto Machiya house and a registered tangible property in Japan hosts an exhibition/shop of traditional handicraft pieces for experiencing Kyotoʼs intrinsic beauty in pure refinement.

We are by developing and manufacturing interior products using Nishijin brocade as a material, we aim to convey the appeal of Nishijin brocade to people around the world, revitalize Nishijin brocade factories, craftsmen, and material suppliers, and develop and pass on Nishijin brocade techniques.
Pictogram signs” used on buildings tend to be inorganic.
We dared to use Nishijin kinran brocade, a traditional craft, for this purpose.
This product is not just decorative art, but also incorporates practicality.
