The story of Nishijin Nijiko

COA The story of Nishijin Nijiko

Nishijin Nijiko lives near a rose-filled park, near an old commercial street.
A curator, she recently directed the traditional craft Nishijin-ori.
She thought Nishijin weaving was something for grandmothers, but the ‘history and happiness’ packed into the textile that embodies the term ‘Kinran Danshi’.
A sense of adventure that glimmers through a quiet, full life.

Please come and visit us in a space that seems to cut out the life and crush of such a Nijiko.
